The “Kickback” with City of Charleston Freeverse Festival

I have had the pleasure of being contracted by the city of Charleston to curate a portion of The Free Verse Festival “The Kickback” for the last two years.

The theme of this mural is inspired by the history of Reynolds Avenue and the hope that it can become the bustling area of commerce that it once was. Also included in the theme is the history of integration and the importance of St. Matthews Church and Metanoia in this area.

ANNUAL Black History Month Program 2015 - 2020 

Birthed out of a need for cultural representation and expression missing at my school, and through collaboration with my church the 1st Annual Black History Program was held. Its purpose is to promote cultural inclusion and education. It is an event that has grown in support, collaboration, and continues to provide a bridge across cultural divides
