I will be hosting my 5th annual Black History Month Celebration on February 24, 2019 at 4:00 pm. This annual event serves to highlight the contributions, beauty, strength, and advancements of people of color.  It also serves to facilitate a bridge to promote unity in the city of Charleston across racial, cultural, and economic divides-we are more alike than we are different.    The theme for this year's event is: LEGACY:  Visions & Dreams.

For the past four years, New Victory Temple Ministries has been a proud sponsor of this Celebration.  It has grown in the last few years to include the participation of students, and faculty at Charleston Southern University. Last year’s event was titled “ HIDDEN FIGURES: Shadows of the Past”, and was hosted at Charleston Southern University.   In 2017, we had the honor of having Mayor Tecklenburg, and his wife Sandy Tecklenburg in attendance.  Mayor Tecklenburg accepted a painting promoting unity on behalf of the city of Charleston, which currently hangs in city hall.

My team, and I are extremely excited about this year’s event. The Pointe Event Center in North Charleston, will be the host site for this years’ event.  We will showcase local entrepreneurs, and various artists from the city of Charleston and surrounding areas.

This year’s event will be held in two parts.  A mini-expo will begin at 4:00 pm and run until 7:30 pm.    The mini-expo will feature local entrepreneurs and artists. The main event will be held from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm.

I am seeking sponsors to provide support in the form of time and monetary donations to help defray the cost of this event. Please contact me at (843) 568-5946 to find out more about how you can help.

Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

My name is Alexandria Searles ~Morowa Mosai.  I am a  artist, dancer, event coordinator, and graphic designer.  I will be hosting my 5th annual Black History Month Celebration on February  24, 2019 at 4:00 pm, at The Pointe Event Center in North Charleston.

The title for this year’s event is: LEGACY: Visions & Dreams.  It is my endeavor to impact society to the point where black excellence is seen as the norm and not the exception.  My vision for the city of Charleston is for us to stand on a unified front that celebrates the achievements of all peoples of color.  This was the dream of Dr.  King!

From the beginning, New Victory Temple Ministries has been a proud sponsor of this Celebration. The faculty and staff of Charleston Southern have also been instrumental in assisting, by participating and hosting last year’s event.  This production has grown in attendants, and impact every year.  As always, I am excited about this production and I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to attend.

My team, and I have worked diligently to produce an event that will educate, connect, motivate, and uplift all. This year’s event will be held in two parts. A mini-expo will be held from 4:00 pm -7:30 pm.   The mini-expo will feature artists, and local entrepreneurs and business. The main event will be held from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm.

I would like to formally invite your business to sponsor my vision for this project, in the form of time, donations of supplies, talents, and finances.  Your support is greatly appreciated.  You may contact me at (843) 568-5946 for more information.  .

Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you!
